Good solid food. Prices a little high. Portions good

I purchased a salad for the road and their salad bar was almost as impeccable as the staff. The place is clean and the customers there smiled at me. I will bring my family to eat here next road trip!

Food was good but thought it was weird you don't get soup or salad with a steak. Friendly staff. Prices a bit high for what you get.

The food was homestyle regional fare. My shredded chicken burrito was tender and juicy. The green chili sauce is a prime example of family style cooking. The hand crafted margaritas paired perfectly with the meal.

The restaurant is an older structure but clean. The menu had a good variety however their presentation wasn't the best. The only vegetable was corn along with bread and potatoes or rice pilaf. To high in carbs.The rice pilaf was "dumped" on the plate. The pot roast was tough and stringy. The hot sauce was very much like chilies in a catsup base. The waitress gave a demeanor of not being happy being there. The prices seemed high above the value of the items.we feel they should have included a dinner salad for the price. The extra salad the size of a dinner salad was about $3.49. We thought it was pretty pricey.

Wow! How surprising...While traveling my family and I stopped at Santa Fe Grill for and early dinner.Quite simply the tastiest, most authentic Mexican cuisine we've ever had!The atmosphere was so cozy and waitstaff we're happy and attentive.Can't wait to travel there again for a yummy family meal.

Server was great. Food wasn't. No seasoning at all on the chicken. Salsa was ok. Friend had beef chimichanga with green chile sauce and said it was one of the worst meals she'd eaten. Iced tea was good. Beans were really good.

We stopped for some authentic Mexican food. The menus was poor. Decided to just have a bowl of Green chili. The worst bowl of green chili I have ever had. I assumed it was pork but it was greasy grounded beef. Plus the order of chips and salsa cost almost four dollars. The only thing that was good was my beer which cost almost 5.00 for a bottle. I would not recommend to anyone.

Good service. Very mediocre food and Horribly over priced. They won’t serve anyone more than 2 drinks. I’d rather eat McDonald and I don’t like McDonald’s. The people who put a good review must not get out much.

Spicy Mexican food & cold beer made a great supper here for me. Very good service with a smile.

We came here for dinner last night and it was a very unenjoyable experience. We were greeted nicely by an older gentleman that I think was the owner, when we ordered our drinks the waitress was rude, the older gentleman went and told her to watch her attitude. We each ordered the chimichanga's very dissatisfied as we thought that it was shredded beef but what was served was ground beef, mine tasted like the red sauce was burnt. His Coors light was warm and my margarita was weak. This place was definitely not worth it. On a positive note the lady who was cleaning was awesome! Very nice and friendly and she did a great job.Over all experience not happy or satisfied and will not recommend this place to anyone and will not return. The service and food was not worth what we paid. Would have been better off with frozen burritos

We stop here to eat every time we go through Santa Rosa, New Mexico to & from Texas. We LOVE the Mexican food. Friendly people, wonderful food.❤👍

This place was great! I loved the friendly service and the food. My family who are highly prejudiced Hispanics didn't like it because the salsa didn't taste perfect and then they ended up ordering the Italian options on the menu and said it didn't do it for them. I ordered a French dip and it was pretty great. The menu has tons of different styles of food so I'm sure you won't be disappointed at all.

Stop and eat your dinner with family on Exit 275 of Interstate freeway 40 at Santa Rosa, NM during your vacation.

It's a beautiful, historical place. Wished they served food and water there. Recommend highly to stop and visit

Food was really good, service excellent. UNFORTUNATELY there was an extremely difficult customer at next table. Complained about absolutely EVERYTHING. as we were leaving he was wanting manager and complaining yet again. Waitress handled it very professionally, always polite and she always had a smile.

We had the bacon swiss burger and fries. Just enough food, fair price. Food was good!

The turkey dinner was great, the Reuben and fries very good, and salad/soup hit the spot. Service was fast and friendly. Will be coming back here next time I am in town..

I was hoping it would be good. Our waitress was nice.. the rest of crew was not very talkative. They seemed to be in a bad mood. The place was empty.. but Salad bar was decent though.. attitude is every thing.. especially when your getting off the road and need a good meal and a smile.. oh well.

Stuffed Chilli Relenos - cheese inside was super hot (cooking) but it was delicious. Their green chili sauce was equally amazing. It had beef in it which the waitress warned me about. Ok by me - more meat = more goodness.

Whether you live in Santa Rosa, New Mexico or just passing through, if you want a simple homemade New Mexican meal from scratch, the 'Santa Fe Grille' is the place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. It was a little to simple for me, but overall it was good. Even though our waitress was swamped overseeing tables that were filled to capacity, she was still professional and courteous.

Drove all the way from Houston TX to visit historic route 66 and eat at one of there restaurants and visit the museum and this was our experience!!!I'd leave a no star if I could. What can I say about a restaurant that makes u pay for a tip on your big even if the service is the worst ever had ... and then tells us he can fix it by calling the police when no one was even being rude just wanting to refuse the tip for terrible service.Dont waste your time as well the food wasnt that good!

Don't expect anything special...this place is just good home cooking. Having said that, the dining room is comfortable, food is good, prices are reasonable and service is decent. Most of the year they have a salad bar. This trip they said it was closed for the winter.

Wonderful food! We have been traveling all day. What a nice way to have supper before retiring for the night. Super great staff too! We drove through twice a year on Our vacation, will stop again.

Its was hard to decide what to order there are so many amazing choices on the menu. Excellent table service. Food was delicious. Margaritas are delicious. I will definitely eat there again

The place is clean and the staff are wonderful but the cook should be run out of the state. The worst "Mexican " food I've ever had and I grew up on the stuff. Terrible taste wrong way of preparing and not even close to what the menu says.

Amanda was awesome! Manager was not interested in any conversation with any person. Food was overcooked and overpriced! The only reason this is getting a three stars because of Amanda. If it weren't for her one star

We often stop in Santa Rosa New Mexico but we have never stopped here. According to the reviews we saw they had a good salad bar and that's what we wanted. Turns out it was very good a simple but straightforward salad bar in a very clean restaurant. Cannot comment on any other food but the soups were okay and the salad was fresh and just what we wanted after a long trip.

Stopped here for dinner on a road trip. The food was good, service was good. The restaurant was very hot in temperature, like the heater was on in August. Other than that, everything was just ok.

We saw what the food looked like, had salad. Lettuce was turning brown. Had a kid bussing tables (maybe 13?) Not a lot of places to chose from. If you like hamburger meat in a Mexican restaurant, maybe this is a good place.

Really good food, priced a little high for portion size, but the great service and food offsets this. Would recommend!

The perfect eaterie to have a substantial and tasty breakfast. Apparently they serve lunch and dinner and local Mexican specialties inherent to the region.The also have a gift shop adjoining the restaurant.Will definitely be coming back to try them the next time we are in Santa Rosa's Route 66.

New place for me. Nice clean, neat place. Got spaghetti and was good. Waitress was friendly, helpful, gave good service. Would recommend stopping by.

Great food. Highly recommend the Chile relleno. Violet was our server. She was great. We had a large group and they gave us the back room. It was perfect.

This was a great place to stop for dinner on our trip. My chimi was packed with like a whole shredded chicken, and the meat was moist. Our server was kind and helpful. The cashier was a little whatever, but all in all it was a great experience.
